Kurşunlu Waterfall

Kurşunlu Waterfall is a nature paradise located in the Kurşunlu Waterfall Nature Park, 22 km from the city center, within the borders of Aksu district of Antalya. It reminded me of the mossy box forests of Asia. Kurşunlu Waterfall, one of the natural beauties of Anatolia, is a fascinating place that attracts people with its natural beauties, nature and serenity. Although it does not flow as strongly as before, it is still beautiful in every way.
It had a beauty that left my mouth open when I saw it many years ago. In my last visit, it has almost reached the drying point due to the decreasing rains and nearly 3,000 illegal drilling wells drilled in the region. The waterfall, which is visited by at least 1500 people a day in summer, is one of the most popular places in Antalya in other months of the year. This situation is really sad, I hope the authorities can come up with a solution to this.
Kurşunlu Waterfall Nature Park
This natural wonder of Antalya consists of 7 small ponds pouring from a height of 18 meters and connected to each other by small waterfalls. The area, which was turned into a nature park in 1986, covers an area of 33 hectares consisting of picnic areas, landscape viewing platforms, playgrounds, walking paths that provide ease of navigation in the areas surrounding the waterfall and pond area.
The walking paths inside the 2 km canyon that stretches out are exquisite. In Kurşunlu Waterfall Nature Park, there are eastern plane trees, laurel, carob, wild olive, gum tree, willow and fig trees, either singly or in small groups, in the area dominated by red pine.
On the Antalya - Isparta highway, the first of the must-see places in Kurşunlu Waterfall Nature Park, within the borders of Aksu district, is the Historical Water Mill, which was used by the villagers living in the region about 200 years ago to grind grain. Although it is known that there were 10 mills around the waterfall, only one has survived to the present day.

As you can have a picnic in the picnic area, there are also touristic facilities and restaurants in the park area. It is an ideal escape route to get rid of the sweltering heat of Antalya for a moment, to cool off and to breathe comfortably.

The place where the waterfall is located is covered with trees and you feel high humidity because there is no breeze. When you follow the tree-lined road that continues from the opposite side of the waterfall, you go along the river and witness the magnificent views. Although the track in the form of a plant tunnel is a bit bumpy, it is easy and enjoyable to walk. There is a cafe restaurant at the end of the road.

Nature seems to have been very generous here. Wherever you look, you are faced with the feeling of taking a photo. Almost all of the visitors hold a corner with their phones and cameras and take pictures or have it taken. Because every shade of green is in front of you, some places are just like emeralds.
It's a good idea to have walking shoes with you, as walking routes range from wooden platforms to bumpy dirt or stone paths and wooden suspension bridges. There are viewing terraces, picnic areas, souvenir shops, a pancake and ice cream shop, and a photography studio. A parking lot has been set up at the main entrance of the park. It is also possible to ride a camel in the park area.
